Dimensional Gate

Dimensional Gate (also known as Dimensional Portal) is a special building accessible after clearing all areas for the first time. This building allows players to ascend Dimensions, and offers various features that can be unlocked using special dimensional currencies.

Dimensional Currency[]

There are two kinds of Dimensional Currency, called Ascension Token and Dimension Orb.

Ascension Token[]

Ascension Tokens are used to purchase Skill Gems, Imbuing equipment, and building Statue of Ascension. 3 Ascension Tokens are given upon completing a new Dimension, one that can be used immediately, while two others are under parenthesis. One Ascension Token under parenthesis is given upon completing previously cleared Dimensions/Timelines. Players must ascend to a different Dimension in order to claim Ascension Tokens that are still under parenthesis.

Dimension Orb[]

Dimension Orbs are used to build special Statues and unlock Hero Facet. One Dimension Orb is given only by completing a new Dimension and cannot be obtained in any other way.

Ascending Dimension[]

Players can use this option to to ascend to the next or previous Dimensions. A new, higher Dimension adds difficulty by increasing enemy Level, HP, and Attack in all areas.

Return to Dimension option allows player to ascend to any previously completed Dimension at will.
Step into the Gate option allows player to ascend to one Dimension above the currently active Dimension.

Attempting to ascend to the highest Dimension reached will prompt a battle against the Dimensional Wizard. Players must defeat him first to unlock the ascension option.

Like Time Warp, ascension also removes any non-eternal items.

Skill Gems[]

Skill Gems (also often written as Skillgems) allow players to equip a Hero's skill (either Active or Passive) to another Hero. The Hero must be recruited at least once in order to appear in the Skill Gem purchase menu. Equipping a Skill Gem grants the equipped character access to the chosen ability. They can equip Skill Gems into the Skill Gem slot and a socketed weapon. Purchasing a Skill Gem costs one Ascension Token.

While players can equip any skill of any Hero available in the game, it is generally advised to equip Passive Skill Gems to improve the chosen Hero's parameters and abilities further.

There are some "recommended" Passive Skill Gems that remain consistent from early to late-game.

Fiery Breath. Cockatrice's Passive Skill. It allows all normal attacks to have area-of-effect property, potentially striking all enemies at the same time. It should be noted that this passive only works on normal attacks, and not any Active Skill-based attacks.
Chi. Monk's Passive Skill. It reduces all Active Skill's cooldown by 1. This passive allows any Active Skill that has 2 cooldown to be used every turn. The notable example is equipping Chi on the Samurai (for their AoE active skill) or the Ranger (for an access to item farming).
Courage. Lion's Passive Skill. Equipping one allows all party members to be immune against Stun.

Furthermore, players can experiment with other passive skills depending on the situation or goal, to maximize the hero's potential. It should be noted that passive skill effects are only applicable once per hero, meaning that equipping more than one of the same passive skill on a herodoes not stack. For example, equipping two Chi passive skill gems on a hero and does not reduce 2 skill cooldown.

Imbuing Equipment[]

Imbuing equipment grants various benefits.

To render the equipment Eternal status, without adding "of Time" modifier. The item remains through Time Warp and Ascension. Players can add any desired prefix and suffix to an imbued equipment in the Alchemy.
Boost to All Stats. The boost is equal to the Equipment's Level +5.

It costs one Ascension Token to imbue a piece of equipment.

Reset Dimension Orbs[]

This option allows players to reset their Dimension Orb statues, returning their obtained Dimension Orbs. It costs either 100 Ascension Tokens or 500 gems to reset the orbs. 3 Dimension Orbs spent to unlock Hero Facet, however, cannot be reclaimed.

Hero Facet[]

Hero Facet costs a permanent 3 Dimension Orbs to unlock. It consists of various solo hero challenges. Completing each run grants various Perks and benefits.

Past Weekly Challenges[]

Starting from v0.11.75 patch, players are given access to past weekly challenges, by unlocking the feature in the Dimensional Portal at the cost of 3 Dimension Orbs. Challenges will become available to choose once 8 weeks have elapsed from the release of a given challenge.

Wizard of Dimension Hero[]

The Wizard of Dimension can be unlocked as a playable Hero at the cost of 10 Ascension Tokens. Upon unlocking, the Wizard is available to recruit in two recruitment buildings, the Tavern and Mushroom Portal.
